Complete Method of Holi Pujan 2023

  • Holika is worshiped before Holika Dahan. There is a special method of this worship. Some ingredients are required to perform Holika Puja, which are flowers, sandalwood, coconut, gulal, rice, moong, whole turmeric, garland, water, roli, batashe, yarn and jaggery etc.
  • Dung cakes are also burnt in Holika. In Holika Puja, flowers, water, moli and gulal are first offered to Holika.
  • Garlands of cow dung toys are made, which are also offered to Holika. After that the raw thread is wrapped around Holika and it is revolved around it.
  • This circumambulation is done at least three times or seven times. After that water is offered to Holika and her aarti is performed.
  • Then one by one all the things are put in the bonfire. Gandha flower is also used in worship. With this the worship of Holika ends. Women also fast on this day and end the fast only after worshiping Holika in the evening.
